C.L. Seifert is a family-run company that has been around for over 150 years. Their main product is a graduation cap that can be fully customized with prints, colors and embroidery.

The company is part of the AJAT Group, like ABC-Gruppen and Crownstudent, and serves both students (B2C) and schools (B2B) with a personalized range of student caps. A complex business case. What they needed was an attractive, personalized product presentation as well as a manageable platform.

Omnichannel selling, automated personalization per school

C.L. Seifert's products aren't only sold in the webshop. With their omnichannel approach they also sell locally, at events in schools, so the online platform has to extend that local approach.

On top of that, C.L. Seifert serves both students (B2C) and schools (B2B). For business customers the platform has to deliver an automated, personalized offer for each school's students: a standardized basic offer, special prices and a personalized look-and-feel. A complex case for an ambitious company looking for a scalable, flexible platform.

Lightning-fast personalization, even at peak load

C.L. Seifert offers students unprecedented options to personalize the product. With the 3D configurator they customize the cap completely to their wishes, with every result visualized in high-quality 3D made possible in collaboration with 3D technology partner HMX. Every save or add-to-basket shows the user a snapshot of their design.

The 3D configurator we'd already built for Crownstudent went through an optimization pass. Click interaction is even faster, and the configurator keeps performing even under peak load. It's also part of the personalization exercise: a student at a school offering a personalized product immediately sees their school's cap as the starting model.
